Obituary of Rose Mellor
Mellor, Rose - Passed away peacefully at the Tufford Manor Saturday July 30, 2005 in her 89th year. Born in Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia to John and Mary MacIsaac and is 1 of 11 children. Predeceased by her husband Bert (2000) and brother and sisters Mary, Lindy, Francis, Lucy, Henry, John, Colin and Raymond. Survived by her sister Irene Charest and brother Bernie MacIsaac. Her son Robbie (Pat), daughter Cathy and Colin (Carol). Loving grandmother of Tina, Lisa, Paul, Arron and Benjamin. Great-grandmother of Sarah, April and Vuk. Rosie was a full time homemaker and spent time as a volunteer on school trips and the PTA at Ferndale Public School. She also volunteered for the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke of Canada and the Salvation Army. Rosie was a past memeber of the Merritton Athletic Association Ladies Auxillary and the Beechwood, Queenston and St. David's golf courses. The family wishes to thank the staff and residents at Tufford Manor for making Rosie feel at home and comfortable. A special thanks to Dr. Wakil and nurse Renee for that little extra, which is not part of your job description.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Rosie's life will be celebrated at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. on Friday August 5, 2005 at 2pm. Donations may be made to Heart and Stroke oundation or Canadian Cancer Society.
