Obituary of Rita Haycox
HAYCOX, Sarah Rita (Coakley) - January 1, 1925 - January 19, 2011. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sara Rita Haycox (Rita) in her 87th year. After a brief illness, Rita passed away at Niagara Falls General Hospital surrounded by family. Rita is predeceased by her husband Lloyd (1978), brothers Art, Robert and Rome, and sisters Mary Ellen and Sis, (Anny). She is survived by her children Lloyd Haycox (Debra), Diane MacDonald and Sandra Jeffries (Greg). She is also survived by her brothers Steve, Vern, and Greg Coakley, her sisters Martha Allen, and Bernette Buschen. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. As per Rita's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of her life will take place January 28, 2011 at GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines at 11 am. We wish to thank the staff of Niagara Falls General Hospital for their compassionate care during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations to Walker Family Cancer Centre would be kindly appreciated. When I come to the end of the road, And the sun has set for me, I want no rites in gloom-filled rooms, Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little-but not too long, And not with your head bowed low; Remember the love that we once shared Miss me-but let me go. For this is a journey that we all must take, And each must go alone. It's all a part of the Master's plan, A step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick at heart, Go to the friends we know, And busy your sorrows in doing good deeds. Miss me - but let me go.
