Obituary of William Kotyk

Kotyk, William "Bill" After a courageous battle with cancer, at 76 years of age, Bill passed away surrounded by his family at Hotel Dieu on Sunday December 12, 2004. Loved by wife Olga (nee Kuzmich) for 50 years. Cherished and wonderful father to Mark (Alba) Kotyk, Kimberly Kotyk, Adam Kotyk and Paula (Ross) Cutler. Devoted grandpa to Christopher, William, Sean, Darylan, Clark, Caitlin and Courtney. Survived by brothers Michael Kotyk, Walter (Gwen) Kotyk and brother-in-law Bill Sinclair. Predeceased by father Peter, mother Dora Kotyk and sisters Olga Sinclair and Stephanie Kotyk. Bill has always had the gift of making others feel good about themselves and has shared his wonderful sense of humour with everyone he touched. Bill was a long time Kiwanian and was everyone's favourite Santa Claus. He was very proud of his years spent in the Canadian Army and Air Force which took him and his family to many places around the world. An unquestionable family man, Bill cherished his time spent with his precious grandchildren and family. Bill has gone fishing and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Bill's family will receive relatives and friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Wednesday, from 7-9 p.m. A service in Celebration of his Life will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hotel Dieu Oncology or Dialysis Unit and would be appreciated by his family,
