Obituary of Molly O'Hearn
O'Hearn, Kathleen Mary (Molly) - After a brief illness, surrounded by her family, Molly passed away peacefully on January 18, 2011 at the age of 82.
Beloved wife and bestfriend of Nip of 60 years. Loving mother of Pixie (Bob) Ziraldo, Danny (Debbie), Erin (Mike) Wilson and Kate (Matt) Hingston.
Adored grandma of Bryan (Amanda), Mike (Katie) and Mary-Kate Kazragis, Molly, Danny and Allie Ziraldo, Meghan and Patrick O'Hearn, Emily and Christopher Wilson, and Madeline, Donald, Annabelle and Charlotte Hingston.
Cherished sister of Pat Twaddle. Molly will be sadly missed by her son-in-law Vytas Kazragis and sisters-in-law Bev and Mollie Morris and fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and many friends.
Predeceased by her much loved daughter Patsy Kazragis (2010) and brothers Desi, Gerry and Danny Morris.
A lifelong resident of Port Dalhousie, Molly enjoyed sharing many stories and experiences with family and friends of her happy days in her lakeside town.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She was a dedicated employee of the family business, Peninsula Press, starting with her father in her teenage years and continuing with her brothers and nephew, and since 2007 with her daughters at Pen Press 2.
Molly was a devoted member of Star of the Sea Church for 82 years. She was also involved with St. Catherines of Alexandria Cathedral and the Out of the Cold program.
Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, on Saturday January 22 from 7-9 p.m and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. in the chapel. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Star of Sea Church on Monday at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at St. John's Anglican Cemetery. If so desired, donations made to Hospice Niagara or Star of the Sea Church would be appreciated by her family.
