Obituary of Barbara Rymer
RYMER, Barbara
The family of Barbara Askin Rymer mourn her sudden and unexpected passing on Monday, January 31st, 2005 at age 78. She is now reunited with her husband, Gordon, who predeceased her in 2003, after 55 years of marriage. Beloved mother of Kathryn (Gerald) Siamro and Janet (David) Henderson who will miss her deeply. Loving Grandmother to Lesley, Michael, Brianne, and Drew, and "GG" to Mackenzie and Ryan.
Survived by her sisters Margaret Boucherle, Edna Groff and Shirley Winstanley and her brothers Ken and Fred Green. Predeceased by her parents Fred and Edna Green and her infant brother Harold.
She was a lifelong member of St. Giles Presbyterian Church and Ladies Aid. Barb was an inspiration to all who knew her. Her family take comfort in knowing her end was peaceful and that she will be busy planning trips, sharing jokes, playing bridge, exercising and organizing Red Hat Society luncheons in heaven.
At Mum's request, cremation has taken place. Her family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines, on Friday, February 4th, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
A celebration of her life will be held at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, 205 Linwell Road, St. Catharines, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2005. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Operation Eyesight, or Heart and Stroke Association of Ontario.
