Obituary of James McNeil
McNeil, James (Jimmy): It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Jimmy McNeil after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Jimmy is survived by his loving wife Christine, sons Mark (Angela), John (Kelly) and grandchildren Kaitlin, Cameron, Megan, Keagan, Reilly, Declan, also he will be sadly missed by his faithful dog Hamish. His laughter and wonderful heart will be missed by so many friends, family and co workers. Jimmy was a past Master of St. Andrews Mason Lodge 661, 32nd degree Scottish Rite, and a Scottish Craftsmen. He was a dedicated employee of the Port Weller Dry Docks, and recently a part time employee at the Home Depot of St. Catharines. Our family would like to extend a warm thank you to the many friends, neighbours and family members near and far who provided us with their support during this difficult time. A special thank you goes to Anne Erkenbrack, his sister in law who has been a wall of strength for all of us. Jimmy is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines. Visiting hours will be held from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. on Friday Jan 21, 2011, a masonic service will take place at 7 p.m. friday night. A celebration of his life will be held in the funeral home on Saturday Jan 22, 2011 at 11 a.m. with cremation to follow. Memorial remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
