Obituary of Bik Yuk Seto

Seto, Bik Yuk Peacefully, on Saturday March 12, 2005 at her residence with her family at her side in her 78th year. Beloved wife of Sam Seto for 59 years. Loving mother of Wai Ming, Eva (Steve) Fung, Mona (Scott) Hinsperger, Dona (Greg) Goodwin. Cherished grandmother of Angela, Lori, Sammy, Kitty Lee, Tamara, Raquel, Tasha, Brandon, Kyle, Nicole, Lindsay and Emily and four great - grandchildren. Dear sister of Chuy Yeck Cham and Bo Cham Chui both in California and sister-in-law of Danny and Bessy Wong, Ho Sin Seto all of St. Catharines, and Susan Chung of Burlington. Also, she was a loving Aunt and Great-Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by three sisters and one brother. Bik Yuk was a part owner in the Rice Bowl Chinese Restaurant, established in 1956 on Niagara St., then in 1967 moved to Mid-Town Plaza on Welland Ave., retiring in June 1993. A special thank you to Dr. Brian Findlay, his nurses, Tish and Lana, Community Care Access Centre - Annette Penner, St. Elizabeth Health Care - Babes, Para- Med Health Care - Patricia and the Night Nurse - Eve, the Occupational Therapists - Leah and Lindsay and Dr. Sandra E. Hartman for their care and compassion. Bik Yuk's family will receive relatives and friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Wednesday from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Interment, Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to Hospice Niagara, Wellspring Niagara or Dr. Sandra E. Hartman Palliative Care Foundation and would be appreciated by her family. The family invite all to a reception following at the Mandarin Restaurant, Carlton St. (across from the funeral home).
