Obituary of Joseph Olszewski
OLSZEWSKI JOSEPH Passed peacefully, at 80 years of age, at home surrounded by his loving family, on Friday March 25, 2005, He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Jennie of over 52 years, his children Annie, Eugene (Ski) and Chris, Steve and Heather. His grandchildren Mark and Kristin, Jonathon, Jasmine, Sarah and his great granddaughter Taylor. He was predeceased by his parents Jan and Anna Olszewski, one brother and a sister all in Poland.
Joseph retired from General Motors as a cutter grinder in 1982 after 34 years of service. He also served in WWII and was a member of the Royal Canadian Polish Legion, Branch 418.
Joseph is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Tuesday at 9:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 10 am. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 7:15pm. Memorial remembrances to the MS Society, 12 Grote St., St. Catharines would be appreciated by the family.
The family would like to thank Dr. Kerley and Dr. Findlay and a special thank you to nurse Nancy for all of her time and hard work.
