ESKEDJIAN, VARTOUHIE (Rose)
Peacefully and suddenly at home on Thursday, July 22, 2004 at the age of 70 years. Her family was her joy. She was the proud matriarch, selfless and loving. Vartouhie was a tower of unwavering strength to her family. Her heart and her house were welcoming, warm shelters for all. Predeceased by her loving and devoted husband, Wannes, of 51 years. Everloving mother of Sonia, Mike and wife Frances, Sarkis, Varouj and wife Karol-Lyn, Garo and wife Marisol, Ankine and Lucy. Nana's pride and joy were her grandchildren Jonathan, Michael, Peter, Greg, Julia, Amelia, Elisa, Lucy, Andrew, and Nataly. Also survived by her brothers Panos and wife Armenouhie Tossounian, Msgr. Nerses Tossounian and Azad Tossounian as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins throughout the world. Predeceased by her parents Sarkis and Lucia Tossounian.
Vartouhie is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines until 10:30 a.m. Monday. (No public visitation.) Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Alfred's Church (Carlton and Vine Sts.) on Monday, July 26, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. Rite of committal, Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial remembrances made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, St. Alfred's Church or the Armenian Catholic Community of Toronto (ACCT) would be appreciated by her family.
