Please accept our sympathies, Steve and Mary Ellen. I was at the Court House today and speaking to Rick Dilts and Leeta Rendal about your Dad. Everyone remembers him fondly. Everyone also seems to remember how what was left of his hair would fly about. Maybe that's why Steve was so reluctant to let his own hair (read pony tail) go. The Registry Office, where your Dad spent so much of his time as a conveyancer, has pretty much gone the way of the buggy and whip. What used to be a cauldron of human activity on closing days is now an almost empty room. Your Dad was there for the good times. Doug

Dear Lugg family, We would like to extend our sincere sympathy to your family. Sorry we couldn't be there today but I just had surgery this week, and can't drive. Aunt Pat and Uncle Dave are sick, and you know the situation with my Mom. I know she would have been there if she could. I have very fond memories of Uncle John (yes, I still refer to him as that). I am so grateful to him for visiting with my Mother while she stayed at Ina Grafton. Even though towards the end of her stay there, she couldn't remember the gentleman that had come to visit her, I knew it was your Father. I'm just so sorry that I didn't return the kindness. Unfortunately, our families had lost touch over the years, but I was very happy to see Aunt Pam, Steven, Mary Ellen, and Pam this past summer. We should get together some time very soon and include Paul and Anna...lol. Miss you guys! Love, Tracey

My deepest sympathy goes out to the family of Mr. Lugg. I worked in the office beside Mr. Lugg for many years on Duke Street, St. Catharines. We shared many laughs, personal pet peaves, private conversations, recipes, juicing combinations (he was an avid 'juicer'). We knew every day what each of us was making for dinner. We kept in touch calling each other over the years. I valued his opinion, advice and friendship. My mother is 91 years old and she still asks about Mr. Lug to this day. So sorry for your loss, Sharon Alamina.
