With his family at his side on Thursday, August 12, 2004 at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Leo (Duke) Lesynski beloved husband of Sylvia for 60 years. Dear father of Ken (Sue) Lesynski. Loving grandfather of Erin (Jamie) Katzman, Ian (Synthia) Lesynski. Brother of Regie, Sophie and John. Leo served in World War II in the Canadian Army and survived as a prisoner of war in Dieppe. Also he retired from a lengthy career at Canada Post. Leo left behind a legacy of family values and commitments that will be reflected in generations to come.
Leo's family will receive relatives and friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Sunday from 2-4 p.m., where a reception will be held in the Kristen French Fellowship Room. In accordance with Leo's wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial donations made to the St. Catharines General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by his family.
