Obituary of Catherine Bernas

Bernas, Catherine (Katie) - At Heidehof Home for the Aged on Thursday, August 26, 2004 in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Bernas (1977). Loving mother of Rose Molnar (Gordon), Joe (Betty), Helen Picton, Dora Dombek (Frank), Agnes Drenth, Jim (Dianne). Dear mother-in-law of Phyllis Bernas and Ross Kuchyt. Predeceased by son Walter (1992), daughter Mary (1997), and great granddaughter Alexandria (1998). Also survived by 22 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Bernas is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. where the family will receive friends on Sunday, August 29th, from 2-4 & 7-9. Vigil prayers for the deceased will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 3:00 pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Denis Church on Monday, August 30th, at 10:00 am. Rite of committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
