Obituary of William (Spike) Chambers
Chambers, William (Spike ) Peacefully on Sunday September 5th, 2004 at Henley House, at the age of 84 years. Born in Newcastle- On - Tyne, England. Predeceased by his loving wife Mary (Malone ) Chambers (2003). Loving Father of Betty Chambers, Bill & Cathy Chambers, Denise & Rick Dupuis , Tim & Betty Chambers. Grandad will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Chris Chambers, Lisa Pearce, Danielle& Nicole Dupuis, David, Kari, Bryan & Jennifer Chambers and Great grandchildren, Jordan Chambers, Brandon & Alyssa Pearce. Predeceased by his Father William, his Mother Elizabeth (Montague ) & sisters Kathleen & Ellen. Spike retired in 1981 from General Motors after 33 Years of service He was a life member of the Knights of Columbus, member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 350, Port Dalhousie, and a Parishioner of St. Denis Church
Mr. Chambers is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Thursday at 11:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Denis Church at 12 noon. Cremation to follow. Vigil prayers for the deceased will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30pm. Visiting hours are Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Memorial remembrances to The Heart and Stoke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
