Obituary of Michael Franklin Wilson
Wilson, Michael (Mike) on Tuesday October 5, 2004 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his devoted family. Mike (42 years of age) leaves behind his loving wife and lifelong friend Linda (Miller) and his adoring children, Melissa (Pete), Iain (Jen), Aileen and "Duke". Loving son of Dorrie and the late Al Wilson. Beloved son-in-law of Lucy (Donnie Carr) and the late Hector Miller. Dearly loved brother of Mark and Joey, Dianne and Harold Warkentin, Matt, Jenny and Dave Simpson, Sandra Miller and Bob Deguire all of St. Catharines. Fun-loving uncle to Michelle, Steve, Erin, Andrew, Emma, Christopher, Corey, Connor, Katie, Baxter, fondly remembered by all his aunts, uncles and cousins and many exceptionally dear friends. Mike was a dedicated member of the rowing community and was a passionate teacher who was revered and respected by many, a constant and continuing inspiration to all who knew him. Mike's humour and light hearted spirit will stay with all who knew him forever.
Mike is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel 585 Carlton St. until Friday at 10:30 a.m. A Celebration of Mike's life will be held in St. John's Anglican Church in Port Dalhousie at 11 a.m. Rite of Committal will be held in St. John's Parish Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wed. 7-9 and Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Memorial remembrances to the St. Catharines Rowing Club or the Canadian Cancer Society are welcome.
