Obituary of Sadie sarah Taylor
Taylor (McDonald), Sarah "Sadie"Passed away peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on October 29, 2004 at the age of 80. She was born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton Island and was veteran of RCAF. Beloved wife for 59 years of Douglas, daughter and daughter-in-law of the late Danny Kenny and Lucy McDonald and Matthew and Fanny Taylor. Cherished and devoted mother of Ken (Barb), Jerry (Leeanne), Bobby (Tracy) and Paula (Cam) Maxner and the late Lorraine (2000) (Rod of Texas). Loving grandmother of Tim (Lisa), Scott (Kelly), Kim (Les), John Ronya, Catherine (Stuart), Caleb, Kyla, Dorian, Janelle, Shaylin, Matthew, Evan, Rylee, Taylor and Mitchell. Predeceased by 4 grandchildren Laureen, Braedan, Brenna and Shannon. Loving great grandmother of 10. Survived by sister Mary Pyke of London and brothers Ken (Gwen) of St. Catharines, Danny Boy (Carol) and Angus (Jean) McDonald of Nova Scotia. Predeceased by sisters Frances Cohen Milt (1998), Pearl Tomlinson (Jack) 2003, Geraldine Murphy (1982), (Donny-2004). Mom worked at Hotel Dieu Hospital for 27 years and retired in 1988. Mrs. Taylor is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. where a funeral liturgy to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with cremation to follow. Visiting Hours Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Hotel Dieu Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
