Mr. D. Morrow posted a condolence

Thank you for the fond memories. As a friend of Tom, in our early teens, we had such fun and I remember the first time I was introduced to Bill, and shook his hand. We sat on the couch, with the mantle just to the left, and pictures of Bill's squadron from begining to the end of the activity. Bill spoke little, but the photos spoke a lot of the courage, the determination and the leadership this man must have given to his squadron members. To accomplish 98 missions! I thought Bill told me once after he had 58 missions, he could have retired. As Squadron Leader, his influence and courage must have been spectacular, putting himself into danger, under fire from enemy aircraft, seeing his own men getting shot down. Only four of Bill's original squad, from the beginning to the end of those activities, only four original members made the end of the war. This is what I remember the most about Bill. He was a true hero! Him and Roy Rogers, maybe Bill should have had a golden palamino horse to ride too! I will remember Bill, and his son Thomas because of the influence these people have on my life. God speed, William (Bill) Clifford. God speed, Sir! My condolences to the family, sincerely.

With sympathy to your family on the death of your father, grandfather,...
I had the honour of meeting your dad while he was a resident at Heatherwood. My step dad often spoke of your dad's heroic work during the war - he was a veteran as well. I watched the you tube video and was reminded again of how we need not forget those who fought for our country so that we now can enjoy freedom today. Thank you Mr. William Clifford. We will not forget!

We were very sorry to read of your Father's passing. He was a very brave young airman, and an all round athlete I am sure you are all very proud of his accomplishments. I am sure he has been welcomed by the Lord, and is in a much more peaceful place now. Please accept our condolences, and know that we will remember him in our prayers. We are sorry we were unable to visit with all of you.
