Liz was too wonderful and full of life, and too young to leave us. It has taken so many days to get my thoughts together, always thinking of the many happy and funny incidents that we shared, as we worked on Nutrition Canada in the seventies and later at FAO. She touched the lives of many, all over the World, and made them richer and happier. Those who knew her will share a deep sense of sorrow. This loss could not be forgotten.

Liz and I crossed paths back in the early 1990's. She came to Ottawa to help work on a provincial survey for the The Nutrition Research Division of Health Canada. She was a gem to work with, one of the most pleasant people to be around. I believe we worked together for less than a year but we did meet many times afterwards and it was always a joy to see her. I will miss her and my heart goes out to all her family and friends. Jim

I worked with Liz originally on the Nutrition Canada survey in 1970. I had just begun working at Health Canada and Liz was providing leadership to the dietary intake portion of survey.
Liz was a wonderful person who I remember fondly as warm, caring and with a wonderful sense of humour. She referred me to her dentist, Dr. Travis who gave me dental care until his retirement. We shared Liz stories as we followed with admiration her work around the world.
Liz made a lasting impression on those of us who were privileged to have known her. My sincere sympathy is sent to all of her family.

Harvey and I and our family want to express to you our deepest sympathy on Elizabeth's death.
I particularly have such fond memories of Elizabeth - starting school together, graduating from high school and university and our trip to Europe. She was an attendant in our wedding party. We kept in contact as good friends for over fifty years. We could phone one another, and in the past few years e-mail one another, on our ups and downs.
We will certainly miss her.
We regret not getting to St. Catharines but hopefully we can have a Mass in our family and her family of origin's church at a later date.

To John C. and all the family
I was sad to see that Liz had died at such a young age. I only met her once and was really impressed with her knowledge, ability and good looks. She certainly left her mark on the nutrition community.
Hail and Health Adele

My life was richer for having known Liz. She and I were part of a team in the early 1990's that completed a nutrition survey in Nova Scotia. We learned together, laughed together, talked about families, shared food stories, and developed a bond that continued to exist well beyond the time of our 'work.' I know that a wonderful person has been lost to us, and my sympathies are extended to all her friends and family. Save a spot for me at your table Liz, Kindest regards, Barb

As my daughter Anne Marie said after our visit in November, "Mom, your friend is a lovely lady." I have always felt privileged to have been Elizabeth's friend. I know she is now happy to be back with Ed about whom she spoke at lenght during our visit. My condolences to John, Mike, Hugh, Frank and Ed's family. She loved you all so much.
