Obituary of Beth Elaine Bradshaw

Bradshaw, Beth: It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of "Beth" Elaine Bradshaw at the Douglas Memorial Hospital on Monday June 6, 2011, with her family by her side. Beth leaves behind her beloved and devoted husband Dan Calder, mother Kathie Bradshaw, sister Colleen, niece Renne (Jerremy) Hansen, stepdaughter Candice Calder, her beloved " gang " of cousins and many very special life long friends and colleagues. She is predeceased by her favourite aunt and uncle, Sarah and Bruce Marshall and adopted family Art and Needie Abelson and father Kenneth David Bradshaw. Born and raised in Toronto, Beth held her Masters Degree in Special Education and worked as a consultant and teacher to special needs children and obtained her Principal Degree and worked in this capacity. She was also the Director of the "Linc" program in Toronto, and a mentor for many new Canadians. A world traveler, gourmet cook, wine connoisseur, jokester, peace and environment advocate, she was always the life of the party and loved to entertain. Her favourite past time was renovating and decorating. She drove Dan and her family crazy with all her building projects. Most of all, Beth was a passionate, energetic, loving, caring lady who loved sunsets, her pets Buster and Molly, her husband Dan, family, and friends. She lived each day to the max wanting us to do the same. Her motto was Live-Laugh -and Love. Beth is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines. Visitations will be held on Wednesday June 8th, from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. A celebration of her life will be held at the funeral home on Thursday June 9th, at 12p.m. noon with interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial remembrances made to the LINC program of Toronto would be appreciated by the family.
