Obituary of Francesco D'Elia

D'Elia, Francesco Surrounded by his family, on Thursday, February 19, 2004 at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in his 75th year. Loving husband of the late Maria. Beloved father of Sam (Mely) and Nick (Lucy). Cherished grandfather of Janice (Phil) Ferraro, Julie, Susan, Victoria and Michael. Beloved son of Luigia and the late Salvatore, in Italy. Survived by his sisters-in-law Antoinette (Antonio) D'Elia, Pasqualina (the late Saverio) Stabile, and Rosa Felice; and many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews in Italy and Venezuela. Mr. D'Elia is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, until Monday at 9:00am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Alfred's Church at 9:30am. Rite of committal in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. Visiting hours are Sunday 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers for the deceased will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 8:30pm. Memorial remembrances to Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
