I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Joan Sutton. I know that she was a very dedicated teacher and in her retirement years an extremely diligent and resourceful homeowner who was a member of the Board of Directors at her condominium complex. My father (Larry Hoganson) worked on the Board with Joan for over 10 years and they became very good friends. I am sure that if we could hear Joan and my father (who also passed away two years ago) speaking today, the topics would involve maintenance fees, landscaping issues, garage cleaning, etc. Joan was a very responsible, organized and dedicated person.
My condolences to her family and friends. May she rest in peace.

Dear Barbara and family, Bryan & I were very sorry to hear of your loss. We have many fond memories of Joan. My sister Betty still lives in St Catherine's and sent me the information. She was not that old when Joan visited us but remembered her. We will remember you in our prayers. Sincerely, Joan & Bryan

Dear Bruce, Sue, Johnathan, Barabara abd John and Families,
I am so sorry that I cannot be with you today. I knew Joan through horses for 28 years. I went on my very first hack with her. She made a Christmas stocking for Markova for her first Christmas. I have gone on trail rides with her in the Rockies and cheered at Spruce Meadows with her. I watched her feed and play with the barn cats , and eaten many a breakfast at 'The Pit' with her. I shall miss her humour, her crusty sense of right and wrong, her knowledge and helpfulness, and her kindness. We were last together at Christmas at Cathie's (in January!) and it was wonderful to see her happy, surrounded by her horsey friends from Robin Hill, gossipping, eating, unwrapping presents and enjoying herself. My very deepest sympathy to all of Joan's friends and family. Jo-Anne Storen

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to Joan's family and Mr. Groh. Her company will be sadly missed at our Horse video nights and other outings. I had the pleasure of accompanying Joan on some horse outings, and her wealth of horse experiences was a pleasure to listen to.

Every year I proudly ran for Joan in the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation's Run for the Cure. I will continue to do so in her memory. She welcomed this Canadian Newcomer with open arms and I will miss her so, especially at our "Horse Video Nights". Joan is an inspiration, a true horsewoman and lives on in our memories.
