Obituary of Frederick George Humphreys

HUMPHREYS FREDERICK GEORGE (Fred) Peacefully, on Saturday April 24, 2004, at the St. Catharines General Hospital, at 86 yrars of age. Beloved husband of Hilda, for 62 wonderful years. Loving father of Ken (Edna), Wayne (Valerie) and Alan (Betty-Lou). Cherished Grandpa of Bryan, Lisa (David) Smith, John (Colleen), Bill, Renee (David) McFadden and Michael. Great Grandpa of Ava Grace Smith. Dear brother of May (John) Kayorie. Fred will be lovingly remembered by many family and friends. Fred retired after 47 years as a printer for both the Toronto Globe and Mail and the St. Catharines Standard. He was a long time member of the St. Catharines Salvation Army Citadel. Fred is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Tuesday at 9:30am. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held in the Salvation Army Citadel, 400 Niagara St., St. Catharines, at 10am. Interment in Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Memorial remembrances to the St. Catharines Salvation Army or The Salvation Army Eventide Home (Eventide Parkway) would be appreciated by the family.
