Obituary of Hendrik Willems

Willems, Hendrik "Hank" Suddenly at home on Sunday, May 9, 2004 in his 86th year. Loving husband of 61 years to Carolina (Lien). Beloved father of Femmie Shotton, Jackie Matthews (the late Bill), George, John, and Hank (Roxy). Devoted grandfather of Barb and Chris Thomas, Jim and Christine Hunt, Kelly and Mike Kissner, Mellissa Shotton, Paul Willems, Kevin Hunt and Cory Penner. Dear great-grandfather of Kelsey, Jordan, Reid, Damon, and Rowan. Survived by his sisters Zwaantje Peters (the late George) of Winnipeg, Maike Guigelaar (the late Henk), Henny and Henk Veen, Ank and Theo Huisman, and Truus and Joop Kick, all of Holland; and by his brothers Geert and Dini, and Herman and Anneke, all of Holland. Also survived by sisters-in-law Margje Berkenbosch and Jo Willems, and brother-in-law Henk (Annie) Berkenbosch. Predeceased by his parents Geert and Tjaakje Willems, his brother Jurrie Willems, and brother-in-law Pete Berkenbosch. Cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate Hank's life will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. on Wednesday at 2:00pm. Visiting hours are 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
