Obituary of Marie Fournier

FOURNIER, Marie passed away peacefully after a long illness on Thusday, May 20, 2004 at Versa Care Centre in her 88th year. Beloved wife of Ernest of 67 years. Cherished mother of Odile Spedaliere St Catharines, Bernard (Bernie) and Joy Alberta, Therese and Jean Lamarre Quebec, Maurice (Moe) and Margaret Kitchener, Nick and Lynn St Catharines, 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her son Urbain in 1959. Survived by 1 sister and 3 brothers in Switzerland. Born in Aproz Switzerland, she was a member of Eglise Immaculee Conception. Long time volounteer with Associated Charities. Mrs. Fournier is at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines, where the family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be said at the funeral home on Monday at 7:30 pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Eglise Immaculee Conception, Garnet Street, St Catharines on Tuesday May 25 at 11:00am. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Shaver Hospital or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation.
