Obituary of Giovanni Trivieri
TRIVIERI, GIOVANNI, Peacefully passed away on Sunday May 30, 2004 in his 66th year. Beloved husband of Santina Trivieri (Lettieri). Surrounded by his family Rose, Frank (Sandy), Tom (Connie), John (Roseanne) and Sandra. Also by grandchildren Marco, Carl, Stephen, Martin, Frankie, Alexandra, Maxwell, John and Sam. Survived by brothers Antonio (Rosina), Tommaso (Gaetana) Carmine (Bittena). Predeceased by his parents Francesco and Rosa Trivieri, a sister Maria (1998) Giuseppe, brothers-in-law Michele (1995) Maria and Filippo (2001) (Domenica). Also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Antonio (Domenica), Carolina (Giuseppe), Maria (Giovanni), Vittorio (Teresa) and Natalina (Giovanni), as well as many nieces and nephews.Giovanni was born in Scandale, Italy on December 16th, 1938 and came to Canada in 1957. He worked at Denison Mine in Elliot Lake, Ontario for eight years until he settled in St. Catharines. He then worked at ITT Aimco as a foreman for 30 years plus, until he retired. He was also President of Trivieri Investments Limited, a real estate holding and land development company in the Niagara area. He will be remembered for his hard work, loyalty and dedication to all of his family and his contributions to various charities. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by family and friends. We will always remember him carrying armfuls of the freshest fruit for his family and spoiling his grandchildren with pockets full of chocolates. Nonno, Pa, Papa, Uncle John, Zio and Giovanni, we all love you and will miss you forever. A special thank you from the Trivieri family to all the doctors and nurses at both the St. Catharines General Hospital and the Memorial Sloan - Ketting Cancer Center in New York for helping us through these trying times.Giovanni's family will receive relatives and friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carleton St., St. Catharines, on Tuesday between the hours of 6 - 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, June 3, 2004 in St. Alfred's Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Rite of committal will be at Victoria Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Vigil prayers will be held Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
