Obituary of Rolf Olaf Nilsen

Nilsen, Rolf Olaf After a brief battle at the Hotel Dieu Hospital on Friday, May 23, 2003, in his 62nd year. Husband of the late Marion, loving father of Melanie (Simon) Frost, Jeannie (Derek) David, Jennifer Nilsen, dear grandpa and papa of Michael, Tyler and Chayse, dear brother of Arne (Cindy) Nilsen and uncle of Kristen. Survived by his mother-in-law Jean Young and brother-in-law Ron Young and numerous cousins in Canada and Norway. He will be fondly remembered by many extended family members including Mikro. Mr. Nilsen worked as an electrician at General Motors for 39 years. He was a fundraiser extraordinaire for various charities and groups for many years. Mr. Nilsen is resting at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. where a funeral servce will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with cremation to follow. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
