Obituary of Doris M. Litzgus

Litzgus, Doris Mildred. (nee Baumhour) On Wednesday July 9, 2003, at the Hotel Dieu Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 58. Lovingly remembered by husband Wayne. Loving mother of Leea Litzgus and her husband Patrick Shaw, April Litzgus and her husband Kimmitt Blakely and Jason Litzgus and his friend Lori North. "Gramma Doe" will be greatly missed by grandchildren Nicole, Cree and Simone. Doris is survived by her brothers and sisters; Belford, Sylvia and Tina and her husband Guy, her sister-in-law Judy and brother in-law Larry and his wife Jane.Predeceased by her parents Calvin and Amelia Baumhour, brothers Emmerson and Hubert and her sister Lorraine, as well as her sister-in-law Myrtle and brother-in-law Bob. Doris's unconditional love for her family and for her friends, especially Pat and Barbara, will be forever cherished. As a health and fitness consultant Doris took great pride in the differences that she made in the lives of her clients. Doris excelled in all of her endeavours, bringing creativity and a unique flair to everything she touched. Her infectious smile and enthusiasm for life will continue to inspire all who knew her.Doris is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel 585 Carlton St.until Monday July 14, 2003 at 11:30a.m. The Funeral Liturgy for Doris will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas church at 12:00 noon on Monday, with cremation to follow. The Rite of Committal will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Visiting hours are Sunday, July 13, 2003 from 1-3p.m. and 7-9p.m. Vigil Prayers will be held in the funeral home on Sunday evening at 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Doris's name.
