Obituary of Tadeusz (Ted) Glowacki

God saw you getting tired The cure was not to be So he closed his arms around you and whispered "Come with Me" Glowacki, Tadeusz (Ted) On Thursday July 10, 2003, at Chateau Gardens Home, at 75 years of age. Beloved husband of Sabina. Loving father of Yvonne (Scott), Anne (Raman) of San Diego and Thoms (Sue) of Californnia. Cherished grandpa of Sebastian. Dear brother of Stella Piasecki of Edmonton. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Valentina Glowacki and his brother Frank. Ted will be lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, family and friends.Ted was employed with General Motors of Canada as a Mill Wright retiring in 1990. He was a gentle caring man who only saw the good in everyone he met. Ted was a Veteran of WW11, enlisting with the Cadets in Syberia under General Anders. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Past President of the Royal Canadian Legion Polish Veterans Branch 418. Past Treasurer and Secretary, Past Service Officer, Past Vice President of the Polish Canadian Congress. He loved his volunteer work with the Royal Canadian Legion Veterans Affairs, Polish Scouting and received the Mayor's Volunteer Award through the City of St. Catharines. Mr. Glowacki is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Monday at 9:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 10:00am. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers for the deceased will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 7pm. Visiting hours are Saturday 7-9pm and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Memorial remembrances to Child and Adolesence Services at the Hotel Dieu Hospital or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. The family wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Sedra and Dr. Frendo. Also to the staff of Chateau Gardens Teresa, Donna, Laura, Amanda Sean, Robert, Dell and Sue, God's angels that were sent to look after Ted.
