Swanston George Norman
on Wed. Sept. 3, 2003 at the Shaver Hospital after courageously facing a series of illnesses. George was 90 years of age and the beloved husband of Norma, dear brother of Keith and Alma of Uxbridge, brother-in-law of Carol and the late John Fraser of St. Catharines, Douglas and Robie Lorimer of Fountain Hills, Arizona, Donald and Pat Lorimer of St. Jacobs, Kathleen (Babs) and the late Barry Lorimer of Ancaster, survived by several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews. Predeceased by 2 brothers, Edward and Alan. George was a member of Grantham United Church and a veteran of WW ll serving in several overseas locations.
George is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel 585 Carlton St. (St. Catharines) until Sat at 10:30 a.m. A funeral ceremony to celebrate George's life will be held in Grantham United Church at 11 a.m. Interment in Heise Hill Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday 7-9 p.m. Memorial remembrances to the R.A.F.T. (to support local youth) would be appreciated by the family.
