Obituary of Mary Podhajski (Podasky)

PODHAJSKI (Podasky) MARY On Friday November 7, 2003 at Henley House, St. Catharines, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Podhajski. Loving mother of Walda (Lyle) McDougall and Jacqueline (Robert) Fraser. Dear grandmother of Brendan and Gregory Fraser of Mississauga. Dear sister of Josephine Retzik and Philip Stacinski. Predeceased by her sister Bernice and brother Walter. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Mary and Joseph Podhajski operated Twin City Tailors until their retirement in 1949, when they moved to St. Catharines. Mary was a member of the Polish Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch 418. Mary is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., where a service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday at 11:00am. Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Memorial remembrances to the Hamilton Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
