Obituary of John Burns

BURNS, John On Monday, December 2nd, 2002 at Niagara Arms Retirement Residence at the age 90. Predeceased by his wife Lisbeth (1997). Loving father of Doris (Udo) Matreitz, Fred (Sharel) Burns, and Rita Bratley. Dear Grandfather of Susan, Kristopher, Nicole, Kimberly, Marc, and Laura. Survived by his brother Robert of California. John served with the British Army (R.E.M.E.) and was stationed in India and Germany before moving to Canada. Cremation. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St.. A graveside service will be held at Victoria Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
