On the afternoon of Monday, January 27,2003, Josef Molodciak of St. Catharines, Ontario passed away at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 82. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Simon & Mikita, in Poland, & by his sister Maria Uszkalo of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. He is lovingly remembered by his nephew Bohdan Uszkalo & his partner Wendy Bossert of Sherwood Park, Alberta, & many dear friends. His love, enthusiasm for life, & genuine concern for the welfare of others will always be an inspiration to all who were blessed to have known him. He will be sorely missed.
Mr. Molodciak will rest at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines until 9:30a.m. on Friday the 31st of January. Shortly thereafter, the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church at 10a.m. Rite of Committal will follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday, January 30, from 2-4 & 7-9p.m. Panachyda will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 7:30p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances in Mr. Molodciak's name may be made to the Children of Chornobyl.
