Mrs. Prior and Family,
I am very sorry to hear about your loss. As my English teacher at DM in 1991, Mr. Prior's passion for teaching inspired me tremendously. High expectations, a dry sense of humour and a supreme command of English Grammar combined with in-depth knowledge of various forms of Literature will always "define" Mr. Prior in my estimation. Now, as a teacher myself, I can only hope to touch the lives of my students the same way he touched mine.
Sincerely,
Carolyn Gibson

There is always one high school teacher that stands out to you as you go through life. The person that you admired, respected and will always remember. Mr. Prior was that teacher for me, and I'm sure a lot of other students. I have thought of him fondly over the years, and often. He was a great teacher, a great motivator, but more importantly, a great man. I'm sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers will be with you during this time.

To the Prior Family
My deepest condolences to your family. Mr.Prior
was truly a wonderful teacher.I think of him often
and how he instilled in me a real sense of
learning for its own sake.He helped me to pursue
the practice of law and was always a great
encouragement. May God bless your family at this
difficult time.

My sincerest sympathies to the family
Your father was a very special teacher to me at DM. I appreciated his style, commitment, integrity and sense of humour. We don't always choose to remember our teachers, Mr. Prior is one of mine that I will always be grateful for sharing time with. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Sue and Nancy,
Sad to hear about your dad, the best teacher I had at DM. Words fail me here. I will always admire your father for his excellence, his humanity and his inexplicably cool hair. I wish I could pay my respects in person (I live in England) but please accept my condolences.
Sincerely,
Doug Lalonde

Dear Nancy:
I was very sad to hear about your father's passing. Although it has been a long time since we worked together during those summers at the school board I think about them often. I also think about your father often because he was such an inspirational teacher. I teach English and direct a rowing programme at an independent school in New Zealand. I use many of the methods he used and even some of the old copies of the books I had when I was in his classroom. Please pas on my sympathies to all of your family members.
Sincerely,
Drew Tierney
