Carreira, Alvaro Alcantara Peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 29, 2002 at the Hotel Dieu Hospital, 80 years of age. Loving husband of Olinda for over 58 years. Beloved father of Manuel, Maria, Manuela, Arnaldo, Antonio, Luis, Elisa & Drew, and Jose. Proud Avo of 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Mr. Carreira is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines until Saturday where a Funeral Liturgy without mass will be held in the chapel at 11am. Cremation to follow. Visiting hours Friday 7-9pm. Memorial remembrances to the Hotel Dieu Dialysis Unit would be appreciated by the family.
