Taken in to the arms of God on Friday, June 21, 2002. Stanley Pidwinski, husband of Anne, in his 79th year, dear father of Christine, and her husband Bohdan Nebesny, of Stoney Creek, Nancy, and her husband Volodymyr Skotar, of Mississauga and Terence Pidwinski of St. Catharines. Beloved grandchildren Adrian and Lisa Nebesny and Ivanna Skotar. Stanley was born in Gimli, Manitoba, in 1924, moved to St. Catharines at age 23. He met and married Anne Yaremchuk, and they enjoyed 55 years together. Stanley was a retired General Motors employee and an active member of the Ukrainian Community. His love of life, children and grandchildren will be sadly missed.
Mr. Pidwinski is resting at the George Darte North Chapel, 585 Carlton St. until Monday at 9:30 a.m. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in St. John's Ukrainian Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with Rite of Committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Panachyda will be celebrated in the funeral home on Sunday at 8 p.m.
