Obituary of Bernadine Joseph
Joseph, Bernadine (Bernie/Shirley) - Surrounded by her family on Thursday May 5th at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 68 and was the longest served patient at the dialysis unit for 32 years. Survived by her best friend and husband Stephen "Joe" for 42 years. Our wonderful mom will be missed by her daughters Alisia, Marlene (Johnnie Jr.), and Karina. Cherished Ba of Nakesha, Natasha, Devontay, Johnnie III, and LaNieya. Devoted sister of Mary, Clayton, Eldica, Eileen and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and close friends. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Rachel and brother David. Will be fondly remembered by her good friends Velda, Guy and Lindy. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Minkarious, nurse Cindy and the dialysis unit at the Hotel Dieu - Ontario Street Site.
Family will recieve friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street. Visiting hours are Wednesday between 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers will be said in the funeral home on Wednesday at 3pm. Funeral Liturgy will be held on Thursday at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine Street at 11am with burial to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hotel Dieu - Dialysis Unit (Ontario Street Site) in Bernie's honour.
