A great neighbour
My husband Randy and I met Jae and Robyn when they lived next door on Thomas Street. We liked them instantly. It only took a couple "neighbour" interactions to realize how quick witted Robyn was. Robyn always made me laugh when she and I got going. My favourite Robyn story is the time we were commiserating about the goings on in the park/school yard behind our houses and I called the kids "hooligans". Robyn laughed so hard (she had a great laugh) and said "Judy, you're so funny, I haven't heard the word "hooligan" in years! Well, that was it, "hooligan" was our word. But seriously, Robyn was a "mother hen" to her chicks in every way. She was loving, caring soul and I know she will be greatly missed. I'm sorry, we didn't learn of her passing sooner and we can't be there. Our thought and prayers are with you all.

Best Friends
It was the summer of 1972 and I was getting ready for grade 1 at Alexandra School. My sister and I were going to visit our grandpa on Vale Avenue when we found Robin and Shelley eating fresh beans from our grandpa's garden. That day our friendship began. Robin became my sister, my confidant, my best friend. We dressed the same, we liked the same music, we bowled together, we played baseball together, we slept over at each other's houses, we talked on the phone, we walked to school together, and we liked the same boys. We were joined at the hip.
Sadly the years have grown us apart and I have missed you Robin everyday but I have never forgotten the wonderful friendship we shared. Rest in peace my friend. Perhaps we shall meet again on the other side some day.

My Little Sister
I cannot express in words how much I am truly going to miss my baby sister. She always had a hug for everyone & a smile. My girls, Jessica, Emily, Devyn & Lauren all adored their Auntie Robyn & always looked so forward to her visits. She always made a point of spending time with each of the kids. I know, because of this closeness we all shared, she will never be forgotten by any of us. When we moved up north, Robyn & still talked on the phone every couple days & maintained our "sisterly love" like I was "right in her back pocket". She was my baby sister & always & forever will be in my heart. I love you & miss you Beano.

Grama Robyn
She was an amazing Grama. She loved each of my children like no words can describe. And they loved her! They loved her so very much, and it is because of all the wonderful days they had together. She was never boring. They always looked forward to seeing her, and playing with her. We will all be lost without her for a while, but I know she would want us to be happy again. And so I will think of her every time I play with my children, and remember how much fun she showed them. I will never forget to be grateful for the amount of love that she did get to share with them, and together we will keep her alive. I miss you, Mom.

When I think of Robyn it is always with a smile because she was always wearing one herself. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren. May her legacy live on in them so they may brighten someones day just as she did. My thoughts are with you all.
