MICHAUD, Germaine "Gerry" Jacqueline Peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family in St. Catharines, on September 25th, 2002 at the age of 85. Gerry leaves behing a loving sister Fernand Lavoie. Mother is also survived by her son Jean "Jackie" Lafreniere and Ginny Byrne of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, daughter Paulette and Russell McCollum of Welland, daughter Rita Ouellet and David Lamb of St. Catharines and son Gary and Joanne Michaud of Welland. Loving grandmother of Brian Lafreniere, Joan Ryan, Debbie Vatcher, Cherie Wardle, Amanda Whitwell, Bradley Michaud, Kerry and Jay McCollum. Adoring great-grandmother of Matthew and Elizabeth Ryan, Jeremy and Laura Lafreniere, Ian and Hilarie Vatcher, Kassandra McCollum, Tory-Lynn Singer and Brandon Whitwell. Predeceased by her parents George and Elise Lafreniere, sisters Leonie, Laurette, Aline and brothers Aurele, Eugene, Maurice and Albert as well as her first husband Paul Emile Lanouette and her second husband Andrew Edward Michaud. Mother's lifetime of hard work and loving care will forever be cherished. Mrs. Michaud is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Saturday at 9:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Denis Church on Saturday at 10am. Rite of Committal will take place at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 3:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Shriners or Hotel Dieu Oncology would be appreciated by the family.
