Obituary of Viola Jeannine Derasp

DERASP VIOLA (nee Moncion) January 2, 1929 - March 4, 2002 In loving memory of our wife, mother and grand mother, who suddenly passed away at the St. Catharines General Hospital. She will be sadly missed by her husband Ernie Derasp of 50 years of marriage. Her children Roger (Kathy) of Fort McMurray Alberta, Lorraine of St. Catharines, Lise of Timmins, Suzanne and Yvon Martineau of Copper Cliff and Nicole of St. Catharines. Loving grandma of Melanie (Jason), Corey, Stephanie, Todd, Alyssa and Amylia. Survived by her loving sister Jackie Labrecque and Len Daigle of NOTL, many nieces and nephews and her God child Richard Labrecque (Krista) of Timmins. Special friend of Don Dybyk. Viola will be lovingly remembered by all her family and friends. Predeceased by her parents Ernest and Laurette Moncion and her brothers Maurice and Roger Moncion. Mrs. Derasp is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines, until Friday at 10:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in Eglise Immaculate Conception at 11:00am. Cremation to follow Vigil prayers for the deceased will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 7:30pm. Visiting hours are Thursday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Memorial remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
