Obituary of Kathleen Marie Laturney
LATURNEY, Kathleen Heffernan (nee Reinhart) (1918- 2011) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great- grandmother. On April 23, 2011, Kathleen passed away at St. Joseph's Villa in Dundas Ontario. Kathleen was predeceased by her first husband Donald R. (†œMickey") Heffernan 1979 and her 2nd husband Stewart Laturney 2002 and her son Robert D. Heffernan 2010. Kaye is survived by her son Michael J. Heffernan (Carol) of Hamilton, Ontario and daughter Maureen Tarbat (Gordon) of North Carolina, daughter in law Lynda Heffernan of Ottawa, step son James Laturney ( Louise) and step daughter Cathy Douglas (Don). Predeceased by her daughter Barbara Ann and step daughter Pat Laturney. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Daniel, Robin, Brian, Craig, Debbra, Laura, Alan, Andrea, Jamie, Megan, Katie and Christopher as well as 11 great grandchildren. Kathleen will be missed by her sister Mary Thibert ( Dr. Norman), sisters - in - law Alice Reinhart and Myrt Reinhart, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Harold Reinhart, William Reinhart, Father Joseph Reinhart, Robert Reinhart, sister Marguerite Boehm, brother in law Louis Boehm and sister -in-law Cay Reinhart. The family wish to extend a sincere thank you to Father Biju, all of the nursing staff and the caring staff at the St. Joseph's Villa who made Mother feel right at home and treated her with dignity and respect. Mrs. Laturney is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, April 28th from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. Vigil Prayers will take place on Thursday at 3p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine Street, St. Catharines on Friday April 29th at 11a.m. Rite of Committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to the CNIB, Alzheimer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
