Dear Ron, Adam and Emily:
When I heard about the death of your wife and mother, Darlene, I was shocked and deeply saddened. I do hope that you all feel better soon, and always remember the wonderful times that were spent with her. I'm sure that she is watching over you all right now. I did not know her that well, but the times I had seen her or been around her, she was a wonderful, caring kind-hearted person. I hope the best for your family, and I hope to see Emily and Adam back at school soon. I know that everyone there will be continuously supporting them every step of the way.
My sympathy is with you,

It was seventeen years ago that I first met
Darlene. Our sons were starting school; junior
kindergarten.There were many hurried mornings
where we would share motherly pleasantries
inbetween the, "I love yous." An active mom at
Westdale Elementary School, Darlene participated
on school councils and parent groups, committees
and sub-committees,barbecues,and bake sales. You
name it, Darlene was there. Her sense of humour,
her "chattiness" and her "dare to go there"
attitude, ensured every meeting or get together
was far from boring and always colourful. Darlene's
family was everything to her. As parents, Ron and
Darlene must have had many proud moments with their
children. If you were ever around Westdale during
speech time, you would have had the pleasure of
sharing in such a moment. Both children would
deliver well articulated and powerful performances,
often winners. Now there were a couple of proud
parent! We are happy to have know Darlene and we
will continue to admire her children and look in
on them as part of our West-end family.
With love,
Charlene, Doug, Drew, Hayley, and Erin.

Dear Ron, Adam, and Emily.
Our hearts have been filled with sadness since we received word of dear Darlene's passing. Her infectious energy and sparkling personality will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her, but her bright light and smile will continue to shine on in you, Adam and Emily. We couldn't help but notice today that "Joy" was a very appropriate middle name for Darlene. We are very glad that she touched our lives, and we will never forget her. We wish we could be there to say goodbye to our dear friend and lend comfort to you at this most tragic and difficult time, but today's unexpected bad weather made the trip impossible. Please know that our thoughts and prayers will be with your family always.

What can I say about Darlene. A wonderful person, who's cheery personality and warm smile brightened everyone's day. I've known Darlene my entire life, and in that time, I've realized that you couldn't ask for a nicer person than her. She was a unique person, and an incredible mother, as you can see by her daughter, Emily, who I have known my entire life, and her son Adam. She will be missed. We should not be saddended, we should celebrate the life of Darlene, because I for one, know that she would want us to be happy.
Miss you Dar!
A.Holly.

Everyone who knew Darlene will truly miss the pleasant and joyful person she was. I didn't know her for long, but in the time that I did, she influenced me to try my best at gaining her respect as a mother. She left this world, and off to a better place with the beloved hearts of others. She brought up both her children well, as it truly shows in the people that they are. I know Emily and Adam will have a large support group from their friends. I hope they can get over the pain in their hearts, and fill it with the good times they shared with their mother.
You now have an angel you know
