Obituary of Selena Smith

SMITH, Selena (Gosling) In her 76th year, Lena passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 26th, 2002 with her loving family in attendance. Born in Burin, NFLD., daughter of the late George Gosling and Susan Green. Survived by her loving husband Melvin and daughters Shirley (Bud), Audrey (Ken) Jones, Cindy (Rick) Fitt, Judy Burt (Joe), Linda (Brian), Maggie and sons Brian (Tammy) and Jim. Also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, sister Sadie (Scott) Moulton of Halifax, N.S.. Predeceased by her son George and daughter Brenda, 2 Grandchildren, sister Irene, and brother Stanley Gosling. Mrs. Smith is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St.. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 10:00am. Interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 7-9pm and Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hotel Dieu Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family.
