HOLDER, Ernest (Ernie)
Suddenly, on Monday, August 13th, 2001 at the Hotel Dieu Hospital at the age of 55. Beloved husband and best friend of Linda. Loving father of Bob (Marianne), and Darren. Survived by his sisters Jackie (Wes) Howse and Myrla (Tom) Barnard, and brothers Brian (Debbie) and Ron. Dear son-in-law of Vern and Barb Pepin. Brother-in-law of George Hall, Bob & Jean Pepin, Dave & Connie Chamberlain, and Pat Pepin. Special cousin of Ric Whipple and family. Predeceased by his parents Al and Ida, sister Ida May, and mother-in-law Betty Pepin. Uncle Ernie will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Ernie was a former business manager and director of Niagara Regionnaires Drum and Bugle Corps, past President of Thorold Jaycees, former coach of St. Catharines Athletics Minor Lacrosse, retired from Niagara Detention Centre and after retiring took employment with Corps of Commissionaires Brock University Campus Police.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. A Memorial Service to celebrate Ernie's life will be held in the chapel on Friday at 1:00pm. Interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visitation Friday 11-1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Catharines Jr.A Athletics Lacrosse would be appreciated by the family.
