Obituary of Sophie Szarek

Szarek, Sophie On Saturday, October 20, 2001 at Upper Canada Lodge, 95 years of age. Loving wife of the late Anthony (1986). Beloved mother of John Szarek & his wife Mary, and Dr. Walter Szarek of Kingston. Devoted grandmother to her grandchildren Dr. Mark Szarek and his wife Lynn of Windsor, and Susan Oppatt of Albany, NY. and to her great grandson Austin. Mrs. Szarek was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and very active in the Polish Community of St. Catharines. Mrs. Szarek is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., until Wednesday at 9:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 10am. Rite of Committal will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 8pm. Memorial remembrances to Upper Canada Lodge would be appreciated by the family.
