Obituary of Peter Thiessen

THIESSEN PETER On Tuesday November 13, 2001 at the St. Catharines General Hospital, at 81years of age. Beloved husband of the late Delores. Loving father of the late Bernice Harrod and Wayne and his wife Pat Thiessen of New Market. Dear grandpa of Kyle and Amanda Thiessen and Tammy Lynn Slick Dear brother of Henry , Gert , Ernie, John and Catherine. Predeceased by his brother Abe and sister Margaret. Peter will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.Peter was employed with General Motors of Canada until retiring in 1980. He was a veteran of WW11 serving overseas in Europe and North Africa in the Infantry. The family will recieve friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. on Thursday from 7-9pm. A memorial service to celebrate Peter's life will be held on in the funeral chapel on Friday at 1:00pm.. Inurnment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
