Obituary of Gerald Carriere

MWO(retired) GERALD R. CARRIERE, CD1 Passed away at the St Catharines General Hospital, on Thursday, June 6th, 2013 at 88 years of age. Predeceased by his beloved wife Claire. Loving father of Carol-Ann Carriere and Marc Carriere. Dear grandpa of Megan, Sharvin, Marissa, Roxanna, Kara and great grandpa of Owen and Emily. Gerald was a Veteran of WW11 landing on the beaches of Normandy, then serving his term of duty in Europe until the end of the war. Following this he served his community as a reservist until 1976. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Gerald's life will be held at the Resurrection of Our Lord, Catholic Church, 1940 Saunderson Dr., Ottawa, on Monday July 22, 2013 at 11 am.. Gerald was an avid supporter of our Canadian soldiers. Memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Strathcona Branch 595 would be appreciated by the family.
