Obituary of Ruby Stevens

STEVENS JANE Died peacefully on Thursday, June 20th, 2013 at the age of 91. Predeceased by her husband Geoff Stevens, Jane leaves behind her children Merrilyn (Peeter) Tiels, Gregg (June) Stevens and Virginia (Sheelagh) May. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Brandon Tiels, Graeme (Karen) Tiels, Drew (Christine) Tiels, Caitlin Stevens - Hughes and Michael Stevens-Hughes. Saddened also are her great grandchildren Hannah and Samantha Tiels; and Brayden, Linden and McKenna Tiels. Jane will also be meissed by her good friend Marie Muir. Born in England she served her country in the WAF during WWII, and emigrated to Canada in 1948. Jane's journey on earth is complete, and those who shared it with her will fondly remember her with love. If the old adage is true that we achieve immortality in the memories of those we leave behind, we know this wonderful woman will live on for many years to come. "There's a grief that can't be spoken" In respect of Jane's wishes cremation has already taken place and the family will be honouring her in a private service.
