Obituary of Maria Giovina Valentini

Valentini, Maria Giovina (nee Costantini) - God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be so he put his arms around you and whispered "come to me." Peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital in her 91st year on July 1, 2013. Reunited with her loving husband Antonio (1997) of 57 years, her son Dominic (1959) and brother Guglielmo (1992). Cherished mother of Frank (Sharon) and Julia (Carmine) Esposito. Much loved Nonna of Dominic (Logan), Lisa (Andrew), Maria (John), Claudia, Joseph, her 7 great-grandchildren and nieces and cousins. Maria will be faithfully missed by her friends at St. Alfred's Church. Nonna's cooking will be greatly missed by her family especially her biscotti and sponge cake. Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street on Wednesday between 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Liturgy will take place at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine Street, on Thursday at 11am with burial to take follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Niagara or Radio Maria Canada, 1247 Lawrence Ave. West, Toronto, Ontario, M6L 1A1 in honour of Maria.
