CASTELLAN, Inez (nee Clara)
Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 9th, 2013 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Gino (1997). Cherished Mom of Lydia (the late Tilmon) Arsenault, Donna (Raymond) Kelly, Linda (Bill) Lounsbury, and the late Corinne (Anthony) Donati. Much loved Nonna to Suzanne (Carlos) Luis, Paula (Roger) LeBrun, Shannon (Kevin) Scullion, Sean (Vanessa) Kelly, Randy (Jennifer) Arsenault, Ryan (Kara) Kelly, Erin (Mark) Klimitz, Brett (Stephanie) Lounsbury, Tyler Donati and Justin Donati. Adored Bisnonna to 13 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Leah (the late Andy) Sima, Adelia (the late John) Peterson, Deva (the late Don) Uguccioni, and sister-in-law of Elsie (the late Mario) Castellan. Inez will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her parents Leopoldo Clara and Maria Toppazzini, her brother John (the late Marina) Clara, and sister-in-law Eliza (the late Paul) Bobbato.
At the centre of Mom's life were God, family and friends. She was a kind and loving woman who gave generously of her time and talents. All of us will treasure our memories of her and our "creations by Inez" for all the years to come.
We would like to express our respect and deepest gratitude to all the staff at Upper Canada Lodge who took such exceptional care of Mom ("Little Miss Hurry Up!") throughout her stay there.
Inez's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Sunday, July 14th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Sunday at 3 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish, 21 Queen Street, South, Thorold on Monday, July 15th at 11 a.m., with entombment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
