Obituary of Paul Frederick Hamm

HAMM, Paul Frederick Passed away suddenly on Monday, July 15th, 2013, at the age of 71. Beloved husband and best friend of Linda for 48 years. Much loved father of Cathi Hamm, Chantelle Hamm (Allan Snow), and Nicole (Gary) Ladouceur. Adored papa of Brent Hamm, Brooklyn and Hayden Ladouceur. Brother-in-law of Doug Humphreys, of Hamilton. Paul will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother Ruth Orvis, and his sisters Dorothy Cambden and June Wells. Paul's passions included hockey, the Boston Bruins, curling, dirt car racing, Nascar, and his trips to Bobcaygeon. He also enjoyed volunteering with his wife and fundraising for the General Hospital. Paul retired from General Motors in 2000 after 26 years of dedicated service. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. John Nolan and Dr. Amel Sadek for their care and compassion. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Wednesday, July 17th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Paul's life will take place Thursday, July 18th at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Humane Society would be appreciated.
