Obituary of Lillian Edna Dressel

DRESSEL, Lillian Edna Lillian Edna Dressel passed away after a brief illness at St. Catharines NHS on July 13th, 2013. Edna is predeceased by her beloved husband of over 64 years, Charles. She is also predeceased by her parents, her brother Fred, and her son Thomas. Edna was a dearly loved Mom to Diane Wilkins and Karen Inglis. Edna is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Julie Wilkins, David, Sally, Julie and Ian Inglis, and great granddaughter Lilah. She is also fondly remembered by Kimberly Dressel, Gary Inglis, and Craig Wilkins. Edna spent her life in Niagara where she devoted her life to homemaking, crafts and parenting, church activities, gatherings with friends, and enjoying nature and gardening. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. A celebration of Edna's life will be held at St. Columba Anglican Church, 7 St. Columba Dr., St. Catharines on Wednesday, July 31st, 2013 at 11 a.m. with The Venerable Bruce A. McPetrie officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. Thanks to CCAC nurses for Edna’s excellent care over the last few years. Also thanks for the fabulous care Edna received at the new St. Catharines NHS from all the doctors, nurses and staff, especially Dr. Chiew and Dr. Hameed. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Trans Canada Trail or Heart & Stroke.
